india.WEEK 1

I have fallen way behind on writing or posting. I have returned from 3 months in Northern India. I thought the trip was going to be 1 month so it was a surprise even to me! I am so thankful for Instagram since it often feels like my only link to the other side of the world. I love interacting with everyone there and feeling connected to home. Here are some highlights from the first week I was there.

I arrived in Delhi to meet Melody, the founder of JOYN India. We headed to some antique block shops for inspiration. We were swimming in blocks! It was quite a treasure hunt.

It just wouldn't be Delhi without a traffic jam!

After many business meetings around town and scoping out new materials to use for JOYN, we got the most beautiful henna I've ever had. The guys we went to  were so detailed. I'm sure I had the fanciest hand in Delhi.

After our time in Delhi we took the train to Dehradun in Northern India to meet the JOYN team! It was a great first week getting to know everyone. They accepted me quickly into their community. I took the week to start working on some new designs and playing with some of the new blocks we found in Delhi.
